Welcome To Your Library was a national project connecting public libraries with refugees and asylum seekers.

By increasing opportunities for participation, Welcome To Your Library aimed to improve access to and quality of public library services for everyone.

Project activities ran from 2003 to the end of 2007. During this period, the project was funded by Paul Hamlyn Foundation and co-ordinated through London Libraries Development Agency. An evaluation report and accompanying good practice guide, published in November 2007, demonstrate the impact and learning from the work and show how this can be applied more widely.

Project partners also continue to apply the principles that underpin the work to develop their practice in this field.
